Singapore has 23 public swimming complexes for people to have fun and enjoy with. Among these, there are two swimming complexes with wave pool: Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex and Jurong East Swimming Complex. So these are probably the two complexes to include in you list if you want extra fun and adventure.
We first visited Jurong East Swimming Complex. It took us almost 2 hours by public transport from Sengkang to Jurong East Swimming Complex. I thought that the main attractions for visitors were the lazy river and wave pool. At certain times in the wave pool, water sprinkles from above and makes it looks like a rain storm. Aside from lazy river and wave, it also has three big slides which are colored blue, pink and yellow. These slide are for those who love adventure, speed and excitement. Yellow is the shortest but it gives the fastest speed into the water. The blue is the longest and highest; it has many spins and sharp turns. The red is in-between of both slides.
The entrance fees during weekends are S$2 for an adult and S$1 for a child. It would be fun if you rent a rubber tube for S$2 to float around the river or enjoy the wave pool. The lazy river is landscaped with waterfalls and rocks and is propelled by water jets. The tube may spin and bump into other tubes.
For food, there is a KFC upstairs and a cafe. If you want to have a picnic table, you need to be very early to get a one.

Marina Barrage
Marina Barrage
8 Marina Gardens Drive Singapore 018951
Built across the mouth of the Marina Channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir, and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, or one-sixth the size of Singapore, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Together with two other new reservoirs, the Marina Reservoir will boost Singapore’s water catchment from half to two-thirds of the country’s land area. The Marina Barrage is the result of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew’s vision nearly two decades ago when he envisaged damming the mouth of the Marina Channel to create a freshwater reservoir.

- Water Playground - Located next to the children water play area, the Water Playground offers one of the best views of the Singapore city skyline. Children can also play the fun water play area which has a map of the Marina Catchment. Sheltered by part of the Green Roof, the venue is most suited for parties, corporate functions, and award presentations.
- Central Courtyard - The Central Courtyard is located in the middle of the Barrage. The location offers a spectacular view of Singapore’s city skyline with a water feature. Ideal for outdoor events like parties, corporate functions, award presentations and performances.
- Pump House - The Pump House at Marina Barrage uses glass and louvers for its external walls so that the interior is lit by natural lighting. This also eliminates the need for air-conditioning and reduces electricity consumption and operation costs.
- Marina Bridge- The Marina Bridge spans the Marina Channel and allows visitors to walk across both reservoir and sea all at once. The nine crest gates are housed under the Marina Bridge.
- Boat Hoist Operation - A boat hoist located at the east abutment of Marina Barrage allows vessels access between the Reservoir and the sea. The boat hoist has a maximum lifting capacity of 70 tonnes and is able to carry vessels with length up to 20m and breadth up to 6m
